Homicide case goes to court Williamson A.M. (The Tennessean), Friday, July 11, 2003
FRANKLIN - The case against a Fairview man accused of vehicular homicide for killing a woman while driving under the influence of alcohol will be presented to a Williamson County grand jury. Jimmy Nall, 46, has been charged with DUI third offense and vehicular homicide. Nall was driving in a pickup truck along Highway 100 near Fairview on the morning of June 22 when he swerved into the opposite lane and struck a woman riding a motorcycle head on, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
A state trooper stated in an incident report that he arrived on the scene around 10:30 a.m. and found Nall passed out in the back of an ambulance. The trooper attempted a field sobriety test but said Nall was too unsteady on his feet to complete the task. A quart bottle of vodka was found in Nall's vehicle and approximately 1/3 of the liquid was gone, said the THP. Nall's blood alcohol content was 0.36%, according to a TBI crime lab report. The legal limit is 0.08%.
Nall has been convicted twice for driving while intoxicated in Davidson County. He is still being held at the Williamson County Jail on $250,000 bond.
